The Film Set That Jack Built |
I'm a student living and learning like a student. In this blog you'll find my experiences, suggestions and interviews with people in the industry. I'll be exploring cheap, unique ways of making a successful production in and around Canada. Also included will be ways to incorporate and effectively utilize social media for very, very little money. |
A mime isn’t a mime without the token bowler hat. While Andy wasn’t wearing it, cast and crew got into the spirit and donned the chapeau for some fun pictures. Above are three and there will be more to come!
Happy Monday, everyone.
It’s been a while- but we’ve wrapped shooting, got a locked cut, and we’re just waiting to get the sound mix done before the world premiere of Mimespeak! Here’s a sneak preview of a little something we’re putting together about the whole production. Enjoy!
Production for Mimespeak is now wrapped and we’re making our way into post. The weekend went off without a hitch and according to our director, Tracy D Smith, this was one of the best shorts she’s worked on - yay for us (and everyone else, of course)!
During the production Mercedes and I had…
Mercedes has taken on the role of Script Supervisor and I the 1st AD. Wish us luck when principal photography begins tomorrow at 8am sharp.
Last Night of Pre-Production—>Just 8 1/2 hours to Go!
Let’s see if I can learn script supervising in the mean time.
T-minus 2 days! This is our wonderful director Tracy D. Smith! She’s a multi-tasking genius. While prepping for our short Tracy found time to get married!
Mercedes and I want to wish her and her new hubby the best!
T-Minus 3 Days!-> This is Ben our Data Transfer guy. He’s in charge of making sure all of the footage is safe and sound at all times Like most people Ben likes to eat.
If you or someone you know likes movies, especially quirky comedies, consider donating some funds to our Indie Go-Go account. It’s really simple. Just look over to the right where our handsome mugs are and click. Your contributions will ensure that we can offer our crew of brave volunteers something more than a communal bag of chips.
Sometimes I wonder how I get anything done around here.
Changed my mind. Blogspot is not my cup of tea. I missed you, Tumblr.
Wish I could say there is going to be a sale, but sadly I haven’t any items to give. I’ve moved the Jack’s Set to blogger. The format seems more appropriate for what I’ll be posting.
